Robin Daniels was, until early 2013, an Executive Vice President of Living PlanIT; 2012 World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer and developer of the PlanIT OS™, the standards based middleware product for the Internet of Things. In this role he led global sales & marketing and corporate & business development.
Previously, Robin was founding CEO of Europe’s largest single-site life science park, the Norwich Research Park, COO of the Centre for Scientific Enterprise, a joint venture between the London Business School and University College London, and held senior roles at Cambridge University. He began his career over 20 years ago in the automotive and material handling capital equipment sectors, with operational and general management roles.
He has a range of company start-up and consultancy experience, co-founding Magma Innovations with Martin Leach in 2007, and was a policy advisor to the UK Shadow Cabinet prior to the 2010 General Election, focused on science, engineering and technology.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Manufacturing Engineering & Management and a PhD in Organizational Psychology and Business Performance Management, both from Loughborough University. Robin is a member of Wolfson College, Cambridge and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
